Testimonials

We LOVED the experience of visiting the [deconstruction] site! I think it is invaluable to be able to go right to the source to see where the wood came from and obtain the history.

Janet Lee, Owner, Bellevue Square City Sweat

Came for supplies, left with good ties. Hats off to this cool and competent couple for carefully deconstructing a massive classic barn and makin' it look so easy!

I met Lauren and Micah about a year ago through Craigslist. I was hunting for barn doors to add texture and drama to our vacation rental. It was everything I was looking for, and they went above and beyond expectations. What I truly appreciated is that they offered complete services, from delivery to hanging. They have an eye for detail with these difficult projects. I have relied on their expertise in sprucing up an old family barn. They've -also built me custom doors, brought new life with reclaimed wood to many of our projects. I highly recommend them.

What is Deconstruction?

Deconstruction is the sustainable, smart, and often, cheaper alternative to traditional demolition!

Oftentimes, some barn owners find themselves overwhelmed with the effort and cost of keeping up a historical barn on their property. It may become a liability, safety hazard, or simply just doesn't serve the purpose the owner needs. That's where we come in. Deconstruction is a lot like construction- but backwards. We carefully remove each board, then process it to be reused. It's a LOT of hard work, but it's a labor of love! We get to learn all about the history and incredible feats that went into the building of each barn we deconstruct. Then we pass that history along to our clients! We love making ties to the community by forging meaningful relationships with each barn owner and every client, and have a great rate of repeat and consistent clients, coming back for more beautiful, sustainably sourced reclaimed barn wood!
